  1. Target’s POS (Point of Sale) System 

    1. This system is a system created by the IT department within Target itself. This system is an in-house Point of Sale system that can help support the flow of transactional information. In this case, the system's servers are able to run and support 30 different cash registers at a time in each store. Not only does this system deal with transactional information, but it is also responsible for handling the pharmacy database, stock control, and inventory management. 

  2. Office Technology (Automation) Systems

    1. Consists of emails, phone calls, and even text messages. This more obvious system can help upper management communicate with middle and lower management. It can also help middle and lower management communicate with many employees. For information such as tasks, procedures, and even hours to work, emails are a primary way of communication within the organization.
